Watch Out for Fraud this Holiday Season!

As the holiday season approaches, we want to alert you of a recent scam involving fraudulent callers spoofing our phone number to trick members into sharing sensitive information.

These calls can look legitimate on caller ID, but they are not from us. Scammers may claim there’s fraud on your account and pressure you to act immediately—such as withdrawing cash, sharing your online banking password, full card number, PIN, or one-time passcodes. This is a red flag.

Please remember:

We will never ask for sensitive information like your password, PIN, or passcodes over the phone, email, or text.

If you receive a suspicious call:

  • Hang up immediately
  • Contact us directly using the number on our official website or the back of your card
  • If you think you may have shared information, call us right away so we can help secure your account

Other Holiday Scams to Watch For

Fraudsters take advantage of the busy season to target consumers with scams such as:

  • Delivery & Shipping Scams: Fake emails or texts pretending to be USPS, FedEx, or UPS.
  • Holiday Shopping Scams: Too-good-to-be-true deals on unfamiliar websites or social media ads.
  • Charity & Investment Scams: Fraudulent charities or “guaranteed” investment opportunities.
  • Tech Support Scams: Calls claiming your computer has a virus and asking for remote access.
  • Imposter Scams: Fake profiles or messages pretending to be family, law enforcement, or even your credit union.

How to protect yourself:

  • Don’t click suspicious links or open unexpected attachments
  • Be cautious of urgent requests or threats
  • Keep social media accounts private
  • Report any suspicious activity to us immediately

Your security is our priority. Thank you for staying vigilant and helping us protect your financial information.
