Kinetic is recruiting for energetic and experienced candidates for this Residential Lending Originator position. The successful candidate will process mortgage loan applications within individual authority as delegated by credit union policy. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Increases relationships per member by cross selling products and services that add value to the member and the credit union through active use of the Sales Core skills and the New Member Plan.

  • Executes sales plan to include follow-up calls to check for member satisfaction and offer additional services if applicable.

  • Conducts the daily processing requirements of the residential real estate lending program to ensure members receive loan decisions in the shortest time frame possible. Accepts mortgage applications. Reviews applications for completeness and compliance with credit union policies and legislative regulations.

  • Provides information to members regarding rates, terms mortgage conditions and criteria, and performs pre-qualifying duties for members wishing preliminary information.

  • Interviews and accepts member loan applications. Answers member questions regarding the residential real estate lending program. Reviews applicant’s information and determines eligibility for loans within policy limits as requested by members in the shortest time frame possible.

  • Notifies members of credit denial in accordance with credit union and regulatory policies as needed. Completes proper documentation and recording of closed loans based on lending policies.

  • Notifies management of noncompliance so that corrective action may be taken. Develops and implements additions and changes to real estate lending policies as needed. Keeps abreast of operational and regulatory changes, which affect the mortgage program and disseminates information to appropriate personnel constantly to ensure the credit union remains in compliance.

  • Participates in the Community Involvement goals of the credit union

This position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent plus an associate’s degree in a business-related field or an equivalent combination of education and real estate lending experience. A minimum of two years of real estate lending experience is required.
